[Reflection] Principles and Virtues in the Classroom

In this assessment, you will reflect on how BRI’s brings together founding principles and civic virtues in curricular resources. Visit BRI’s curricula page and select one program to review. Within that program, select two lessons to analyze how BRI resources reflect principles and virtues. You can use the following graphic organizer to collect your ideas.

You can record your reflection in writing, video, or another representation of your thinking. In the culminating activity for this course, you will create an informational slide deck that could be used to explain BRI and our approach to civic education to new teachers. The work completed in this module can be used in the final slide deck.

Directions: Using two lessons from the Bill of Rights Institute, describe how principles and actions are used to help students understand principles and virtues. Make a copy of this document.
